From the bride, Shelly:
It rained throughout most of our wedding day, but just as the ceremony began, the sun peeked through the clouds and it stopped raining. We said our vows surrounded by massive pine trees and a gorgeous mountain view.
We wanted our wedding to feel like a mountain wedding with lots of rustic natural elements while still being beautiful and elegant.
I simply loved our deep purple and olive green color palette. We also incorporated fuchsia, baby blue, white, and orange. Our first dance was a waltz. We practiced a lot! It involved lots of spinning and fancy moves. I loved it!!PERSONAL TOUCHES
-We named the guest tables after places we’ve been and included pictures of us in that location.
-We gave each of the groomsmen a different purple tie to wear. We had a ton of fun picking out ties to match each guy’s personality.
-Our guest book was a photo album with wide margins for people to write us notes. We have it on our coffee table and it makes me think of all the people who attended our wedding.
My dad’s speech was so candid. I was in tears at his genuine and eloquent words. I admire my dad a lot and it was neat to hear him welcome all of our guests and show his excitement for Daniel and me with his toast.
