From the bride Kara:
Planning this wedding was great insight on how Scott and I will tackle the life ahead of us.Although it wasn’t his idea of fun, he was right next to me as we created our own wedding invitations, table names, and place holders. He assisted in addressing invitations and making decisions on the big day.The planning process brought us even closer and was less stressful than I imagined possible.
With the reception in full swing, Scott and I took a minute to slip away from the party and returned to the ceremony site. We stood in the exact spot we had stood in hours earlier and laughed about how ridiculously perfect this day was. We couldn’t take our eyes off one another as we soaked in everything going on around us. It was the definition of a perfect moment. The smile never disappeared off the faces of Scott and I as we looked around us. We whispered to ourselves several times that evening we were so lucky to have so many people join us for our destination wedding. PERSONAL TOUCHES
We wanted our guests to know how much we appreciated them being there, this started the moment they each arrived in Jackson Hole. They were greeted with a “Welcome to Wyoming” basket that was an upside down cowboy hat full of goodies. The hat also contained a 4-page newsletter that contained a schedule of the week’s events, a rundown of who’s who in the wedding party, the history of each of our parents and how they met, as well as the background of Scott and I.
We made time during the reception to speak to each of our guests and reiterate how much we appreciated them being there to support us. Walking across the courtyard with both of my parents, I wasn’t sure if we would make it to our spot without exploding with delight. I had never seen my parents so happy as we walked under the blue skies of Wyoming, on this perfect day, to join me with my future husband. We laughed almost the entire way, but for the life of us, we cannot remember what we were talking about!
We stayed at the Bentwood Inn Bed and Breakfast in Wilson, WY.
