An Intimate New Year’s Eve Wedding in Park City

Lindsey & Aaron | December 31st | Park City, Utah

From the bride:  Both Aaron and I are medical students, and have very limited schedules. We only had a two week window to get married over the New Year, so we knew it had to be in Park City. We got to have an extra little ski vacation following the wedding, and all of our out of town guests loved that Utah snow.

We didn’t really have a theme to the wedding, but we knew we wanted it to feel like a New Years Eve party. We ended up settling on black white and gold and it was perfect.

We ended up using a couple hundred white candles along the aisles, on the tables and to create a backdrop for the ceremony. The candlelight was amazing and made the whole evening feel so intimate.

I think my favorite part about the whole wedding was having my little brother officiate. He has been able to watch us grow as a couple since we started dating and he really customized our ceremony to us. Every word he said had so much meaning to it, it was so captivating and spectacular.

We had the most beautiful, massive Christmas tree that we decided to leave up for the holiday. All the tree decor was in our wedding colors so it fit in beautifully.

We set up a clear tent on the back patio, which housed a fire pit, s’more station, and hot cocoa for guests to warm up. That was a real hit and one of my favorite parts of the reception.

My advice: Start early and hire a party planner. There’s no way I could have accomplished everything the planner did, and it made the whole thing so stress free.

The glossy and golden details of the wedding are pretty gorgeous. They are adding a royal feel to the wedding. Congrats to this lovely couple!!
Mountain Rustic in Jackson Hole

Andrea & Matthew | June 25, 2011 | Jackson Hole, Wyoming

From the bride:
Our desire was to make our wedding as memorable as possible for not only Matt and I, but our guests as well.

Our ceremony took place at Amangani in Jackson Hole on their north lawn facing the Grand Tetons. We had a bluebird day with the eagles soaring in the background. Our 33 guests all sat at one long table, which looked like a ‘Mid Summers Night Dream’. We had special leather luggage tags with inspirational quotes on them for all our wedding guests. The service at Amangani was incredible; they catered to our every need and desire. At the end of the night we jumped into the pool!RECOMMENDED VENDORS

Wildflowers & Mountains

Brittany & Chad  |  June 11, 2011  |  Durango, Colorado

From the bride:
We had decided early on that we were having a Colorado wedding in my home area of Southwest Colorado. We also wanted a black and white color palette – mainly for the b/w photos and because I was going for a retro look.

I wore my moms pearls.I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my wedding dress, veil and pink shoes! The yellow roses I carried in my bouquet were in remembrance of my grandma. Our preacher had also married my parents 30 years ago.The arch that we were married under was made by my brother.  The mountains still had snow on them and the rustic look of the aspen arch perfectly framed them. I messed up my wedding vows.  I thought I was finished repeating after the preacher but he wasn’t finished! I guess it gave everybody a good laugh. The evening was perfect – perfect weather, perfect setting, deer were even wandering through the meadow as the reception was going on!Our first dance – literally was our FIRST dance. Chad doesn’t like to dance at all and refused to practice with me.  It also happened to be the first time I had ever danced with my dad – my dress ended up tangled and we were laughing through the entire dance.RECOMMENDED VENDORS
