An Elopement with Mountain & Ocean Views

Ronnie & Aaron  |  May 21st  |  British Columbia, Canada

From the photographer, Karizma Photography: Ronnie & Aaron’s intimate elopement was full of romance. They designed a fun day just for themselves.

Ten minutes before the actual ceremony, Aaron got down on one knee and proposed to Ronnie.  Later he explained that they were so in love that they always talked about wedding. Then they decided to get married and talked just about their big day. And at some point, he realized that he even did not asked Ronnie if she wanted to become his wife.  That was the sweetest moment ever. We have never had a chance to photograph a proposal 10 minutes before the ceremony! KarizmaPhotography0106 KarizmaPhotography0107 KarizmaPhotography0108 KarizmaPhotography0109

From the Magazine: A Mountaintop Elopement

Kristin & Chance  |  May 26th  |  Asheville, North Carolina

From the bride: Our story began in high school. Not quite a Hollywood story, but nonetheless, I got to marry my high school sweetheart. Chance and I met when we were freshmen in high school. It wasn’t until two years later that we realized our friendship was a little more than we expected. We realize it’s a bit unusual to marry your “first love,” but, for us, it just worked. He has been my best friend since, and I do not know that anyone can make me laugh like he can. Our relationship has always been a little bit spontaneous, and we never felt the need or want to have a traditional wedding, which is why we decided to elope.

A Sweet Yosemite Elopement

Yulia & Dmitry |  September 23rd  |  Bass Lake, California

From the Groom: I met Yulia in New York City, all the way across the globe from our home country, Russia. Within a year, I proposed on a mountain in California. A month later, we visited California again, this time for our intimate wedding ceremony in the mountains on Bass Lake, near Yosemite National Park.  We held our ceremony as the sun set over the lake, shown in real-time to our parents in France and Russia, with them congratulating and cheering us with best wishes. We are a family spread out on multiple continents, and a destination wedding was the best fit. After all, this is what a wedding should really be about – the two of us, having a relaxing and romantic day together to celebrate a new beginning of the best relationship we could ever imagine.

Dmitry’s RECOMMENDED VENDORS
Photographer: Heather Elizabeth Photography. Heather was very relaxing to work with. She had spent the morning scouting locations for photo shoots, including an unusually green river, gorgeous back-lit forest for our picnic, and even a lake-side sunset dock. Heather was warm, like an old friend, and helped artistically position us for the shots.

Venue: The Pines Resort
