A Mountaintop Proposal

Standing on top of the world surrounded by nature, proposing on a mountaintop is so romantic!  We especially love it when the proposal is captured by a photographer.

A Mountaintop Wedding Proposal on Mt. Bachelorin, Bend Oregon

From the photographer, Byron Roe: Thomas & Margaret were visiting Bend, Oregon from Chicago and trying their hand at downhill skiing. Little did Margaret know that she was moments away from having an amazing ring on her finger! The weather cleared and they decided to take a leap of faith and go to the summit for the first time (over 9,000 feet) of Mt. Bachelor where Thomas got down on his knee! She said ‘Oh My God’ about fifty times in about 5 minutes and kept her glove off freezing her fingers just so she could see the ring…too cute!

Love Shoot: Adventure in the Mountains

From the ski slopes to the mud bogs, this free-spirited couple showcased what they love to do together… laugh a lot and have fun. The bride-to-be actually bought two identical dresses, one to wear for this shoot and another for the wedding day. Photographer Brian Smyer did a wonderful job of capturing their love of exhilarating adventures. All we can say, is every couple should be having this much FUN at their engagement shoot!

A Picnic in the Tetons

From the photographer, Joe Geske:
We met with Brittany and Will during a recent trip to Grand Teton National Park to photograph their engagement session. Brittany and Will are a very outdoorsy, adventurous couple, and call Jackson, Wyoming their second home (their first being the east coast). Brittany knew a picnic with the Grand Teton mountain range as a backdrop would fit their personalities perfectly! Brittany works in hospitality, and Will works with the youth in Jackson and brews beer on the side – so bringing a 6 pack of their favorite local beers was a must for them. After their picnic on Antelope Flats, we made our way over to the famous “Teton Barn” for photos of sunset. Brittany and Will were so cute together, constantly making each other laugh. Brittany’s only request for her engagement session was that we highlight the Tetons, and I think we did just that for these two outdoorsy lovebirds!
