Homemade in Canada
Christina & Edward | October 9th | Canmore, Alberta, Canada
Christina is a teacher and incorporated unique, handmade and old-fashioned elements into her wedding theme, which included a dictionary, board games and scrabble tiles.
From the bride, Christina:
Our wedding was simple and beautiful. The leaves were all changing colour and the temperature was perfect! We used the mountains of Banff, Alberta as our back drop so we didn’t need to spend a fortune on flowers and decorations.
I wore a vintage inspired dress from Kleinfelds, NY. We had only our closest friends and family to celebrate with us.
We love board games so we used scrabble tiles as place cards. During our cocktail hour we had a variety of board games our guests could play.
For our guest book I collected old pieces of patterned paper and guests were able to write messages and well wishes.
All the candles were placed in my grandmother’s china mugs.
During the dancing section of our reception, we had a table full of props and a vintage inspired picture frame. Guests took pictures behind the frame wearing whatever costume pieces they liked.
