Forest Enchantment in the White Mountains

Kelly & Billy  |  September 22nd  |  Greer, Arizona

From the bride, Kelly:
My wedding day could not have been more perfect. The weather was ideal for an outdoor location as well as the scenery which started to transform into warm and bright fall colors. Prior to arriving up in Greer, we had seen that there was a chance of showers on our wedding day which made us all a little uneasy. There were clouds present with a subtle sprinkle but as soon as the ceremony began, the clouds parted and pure sunshine covered our ceremony! You know what they say, rain brings luck on a wedding day!

We picked our site primarily because of my brother. His passing made it hard to forget that he would not physically be in attendance on the most special day of my life. The location is very near and dear to my heart, filled with memories of him. Every memory I had came alive while we were there and to get married at this place comforted me in knowing that he was with us.

Every little detail we had represented Billy and I as a couple; care-free, simple, fun and loving. The simplicity of our wedding truly made it one of a kind filled with tons of laughter, tears and joy! Having a small wedding nestled in the beauty of nature along with our closest family and friends was, with out a doubt, a true blessing.ann03

It was an intimate affair, ALL of the guests stayed in one huge cabin that could accommodate up to 30 people! The trees were just beginning to change color and fall was in the air. Everything about Kelly and Billy’s wedding day was relaxed (Kelly even wore her favorite cowboy boots), all of the guests and wedding party had arrived the day before so everyone just hung out all morning and was able to enjoy the day. The day started with breakfast together and playing ladder ball and “bags” with their custom M (for Mautino) “bags” board they built themselves.  The ceremony took place right beside the creek and underneath the handmade pergola (arbor) Kelly’s dad built himself…decorated with flowers and candle lit jars. Kelly wanted to keep the natural beauty of the rustic cabin and forest as most of her décor. Billy’s dad is a pastor and officiated the emotional ceremony. After the ceremony, everyone let go of balloons in remembrance of Kelly’s younger brother who recently passed away; it was a beautiful and emotional tribute. The reception took place inside the main cabin; the vintage dinner plates were from Kelly’s grandmother. After dinner everyone helped clear the furniture in the huge living room to make room for an epic dance party and danced all night.ann05ann06ann07ann08ann09ann10

This is one amazing wedding! The greenery (for AZ), a cabin for the family, the reception space!
