A Modern Mountain Wedding at Lake Louise
Cara and Keith’s wedding at the Chateau Lake Louise was a chance to celebrate their New York City love story with the bride’s massive Albertan family and introduce the beautiful Rockies to the couple’s urban guests that had flown in mostly from NY, SF, London, and Hong Kong for the occasion. The couple wanted to create a warm and celebratory atmosphere that would both complement the beautifully lush mountain setting and reflect the understated modern elegance of the newly updated Victoria Ballroom where the reception was held. For the waterfront ceremony on Victoria Terrace, they let nature take center stage, enhancing the blue of the lake and skies with pops of blue in the fuschia, pink and peach bouquets.

For the reception, they were determined to have long feasting tables –the longer the better, to create a sense of togetherness and facilitate conversation amongst old friends and new. Lush grey-green garlands of Eucalyptus ran down the center of the tables, bringing the natural theme indoors and providing a muted backdrop to the roses that seemed to bloom from the garlands. The low florals ensured that revelers could see and hear each other clearly, and the ivory pillar candles dotting the length of the tables ensured everybody was cast in a romantic, flattering glow. The silvery napkins provided a modern contrast to the light gold linens. Rose gold sequined linens added a touch of glamour to the head table. The couple infused personal touches throughout, from handmade magnetic gold animal place-card holders to reflect their joint love of wildlife, to tables named after the 9 separate cities that they lived in until they met, to a dessert table laden with the couple’s favourite treats –mini cupcakes in creative flavor combinations, a towering croquembouche dusted in icing sugar like snow on a mountain top, macarons in rose, mango, and green tea, lemon meringue tartlets, and mini smore cookie sandwiches to tie back to the welcome bonfire-and-smore reception held the night before on the shores of the lake.

A Rocky Mountain Destination Wedding in Vail
Brad proposed to Jennifer in the mountains of Colorado. The two immediately went to Vail, a town very special to them, to celebrate the grand occasion. When it came time to pick the location for their wedding, they could think of no better place to gather all of their friends and family than Vail, Colorado. They wanted a special place to celebrate with their loved ones that was accessible, but far enough to allow for a full weekend getaway. They chose a beautiful October weekend for their nuptials and celebration.

Let Love Grow
From the bride: We live in Los Angeles, but I’m from Colorado, and a mountain girl at heart. For our wedding, we wanted to be surrounded by the mountains and be able to smell the pine trees. We also wanted our day to be classy and elegant with a color palette of blush, cream, and rose gold.
The Theme
Let Love Grow was a theme for the wedding. We want our love to always be growing, so we incorporated it in many ways throughout the wedding such as a tree planting ceremony within the ceremony and potted succulents for the escort cards.
The Dress
I wanted a dress that was different and I loved the idea of having a light blush dress. I didn’t think I would like the style of my dress (I thought I’d go with a mermaid style), but the moment I tried it on, I knew it was the perfect combination of classic yet unique.
Advice
Get organized. Create a very detailed day-of schedule, stay on top of your guest list, finalize your seating chart and make escort cards. These things will make all the difference. You’ll be less stressed on the day and your guests will have a better time at your wedding. Hire a day-of coordinator so you can pass all this along and just enjoy your big day.

Mountain Wedding Elegance in Tennessee
Samantha and Jack tied the knot over the Fourth of July weekend in the Smoky Mountains. Samantha loves everything that glitters and shines, so she added a beautiful rhinestone belt and bracelet along with a cathedral veil to her stunning gown. The ceremony was filled with hundreds of stunning florals. Their puppy, Lilly, wore a blush pink floral collar and a cute sign that read, “Daddy, here comes mommy”. The reception tent was overflowing with lush florals.

A Destination Wedding in the Canadian Rockies
From the bride, Wynn: When I was 5 years old I “read” my first Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine on a flight and began “sketching” wedding gowns on a Northwest Airlines napkin – believe it or not, my parents still have some of the napkins. So, while our wedding story began like many, dreaming as a young girl, it is unique in that after being in the industry for a few years, it (my vision) took a 180 degree turn! Rather than Cinderella’s ball, we escaped to the Rocky Mountains. It rained, it snowed, the sun beamed down for our ceremony, we ran into hiccups – as you do in any wedding – and we laughed through them. We danced, we cried, we toasted, we spent hours with the ones we love, and we couldn’t have been more thankful.
