A California Wedding
From the photographer: enLuce Photography
Being local here to Marin, photographing a wedding at Mill Valley’s Mountain Home Inn was a treat! The views were breathtaking and the Inn nestled between the pines and redwoods was cozy and quaint! But the best part of the day was the couple! Meg and Charles were adorable. You could tell that they were giddy in love and were having the time of their lives on their wedding day. They were really enjoying their families and guests and more importantly each other! They really knew how to have fun and just relax! At one point, they took their drinks and we walked down the path to enjoy the view and as Meg jumped on Charles’ back for a piggy back ride one of her buttons from her train fell off. While most brides would have panicked, she just laughed and her husband was adorable as he tried to help her fasten her train. It was a beautiful day and the guests had a blast singing karaoke, dancing, and getting silly in our photo booth!
From the bride, Meg: We did the Italian wine box ceremony where we placed unread love letters to one another in a wine box with a bottle of our favorite wine. Then in our ceremony we locked the box, only to be opened on our 5th anniversary or if we encounter hard times, and need to be reminded how much we love each other. When we open the box, we will drink the wine and read the letters. Then, we write updates love letters and reseal the box with a new bottle of wine.
Charles and I are not great dancers so we did Karaoke instead! We saw sides of our friends and family that we had never seen before. The night ended with the wedding party singing “Can you feel the love tonight” as Charles carried me off to the honeymoon suite.
Meg’s RECOMMENDED VENDORS
Venue: Mountain Home Inn. They made the entire day a celebration. Sara, our wedding coordinator, was amazing and extremely helpful. I hardly saw her, but everything about the day was so smooth and flawless – I know she was hard at work behind the scenes.
