A Snowy Spring Wedding in Colorado
From the Magazine: Krystle & Ben
From the bride: We had planned for a green spring May 1st wedding. Originally, it was supposed to rain all weekend, so I came to terms with it and bought 50 umbrellas for our guests and was going to try to make the most of it. Those umbrellas were later returned after the rain changed to snow, which was a very unexpected but great turn of events.

An Elegant Ranch Wedding in Colorado
Corky and Mike met on a blind date set up by a friend. He’s a ski instructor at Vail Resorts, she’s a kindergarten teacher at Vail Christian Academy–and the rest is history. From the beginning, they knew they wanted to incorporate design elements that would reflect their life together in Vail.
The guest book was a pair of antique skis that guests got to sign.
The tables were named after Corky and Mike’s favorite ski runs on Vail Mountain.
Corky had her great grandparents’ handmade wedding dolls placed on the back of their loveseat.

An Elegant & Classic Denver Wedding
From the photographer, From the Hip Photo: Noam and Alexandra’s wedding was held this past September at the Four Seasons in Downtown Denver. The couple wanted a classic black tie affair which was perfectly executed by Calluna Events. The bride wore a silk Kelly Faetanini gown with jeweled lace bodice. The groom and groomsmen looked sharp in black tuxes while the bridesmaids wore long Adrianna Papell beaded gowns in champagne. The bouquets from Newberry Brothers featured pale pink and lavender accents that echoed throughout the wedding décor. This amazing wedding day was filled with friends and family from across the world.
Mountain Wedding Elegance in Tennessee
Samantha and Jack tied the knot over the Fourth of July weekend in the Smoky Mountains. Samantha loves everything that glitters and shines, so she added a beautiful rhinestone belt and bracelet along with a cathedral veil to her stunning gown. The ceremony was filled with hundreds of stunning florals. Their puppy, Lilly, wore a blush pink floral collar and a cute sign that read, “Daddy, here comes mommy”. The reception tent was overflowing with lush florals.

A Rocky Mountain Destination Wedding in Vail
From the bride, Jennifer: We wanted the wedding to feel upscale while keeping in touch with the Colorado mountain setting. We created a mountain logo that incorporated our initials, which was used on our welcome bags, cocktail napkins, the reception dinner menu, escort cards, etc. We also customized the menu to utilize as much local food as possible to keep with the Colorado feel. We chose a color palette of white, peach and grey.
Natty Michelle Paperie created our custom hand drawn wedding maps.
We lit a unity candle during our ceremony. We enjoyed the symbolism of our two families coming together. My parents used the same candle on their wedding day, which made it even more special.
Looking out at our friends and family in the chapel. It was overwhelming and amazing all at once to feel their love and support.
My favorite detail was our signature cocktail, the “Southside.” This is our favorite drink to share in the groom’s hometown of Oyster Bay, NY and it brought a little bit of the east coast to the mountains.
A few deer joined our outdoor cocktail hour, which was an unexpected, fun moment.
My mom and I created the escort cards. They were in the shape of lift tickets with our mountain logo. We hung them from metal tags on a chic yet rustic wooden board.
Table décor included long seeded eucalyptus garlands interspersed with white florals, candles and antlers.
We named our tables named after Vail ski trails.
I can still picture our first dance and the father/daughter dance perfectly when I hear the songs played.
My advice: Enjoy every second – it flies by!

A White Tie Mountain Wedding in Utah
From the bride, Sarah: We wanted a white tie wedding, very formal and very traditional. We both felt very strongly that marriage is an expression of love and commitment to each other. It was not something to be entered into lightly, and keeping with tradition, it was also my parents 36 wedding anniversary. Historically, the people we know who have had a more traditional wedding, have stood the test of time.
Being from a long line of southern women. Engraved invitations were the only option. I did embellish them with ribbon and a wax seal. I hand wrote every outer and inner envelope my self. The coolest feature is we now have the copper plates for each piece of the engraving. They will be framed.
For the ceremony, we wanted an arch wrapped in vines, flowers, and crystals. I created the chair backs with love birds.
My Uncle George performed the exact ceremony performed at my parents wedding, from the same book. The book was my great, great grandfathers ceremony book – it is over 100 years old.
I only wanted one floral centerpiece. All white hydrangeas to fall off the edge of the table and pool on the floor.
Our favors were hand printed scarves that matched our wedding linens in custom boxes with custom notes inside. The boxes were embossed with white flowers and vines.
We used floating chandeliers and dangling lights under the tent.
My advice:
1. Enjoy every minute of the planning process; I had the best time with my mother planning our wedding. There was no drama, no issues. And I had found my dress with my mother; it was a very special perfect moment, one she had imagined since I was little. My mother cried when we found the dress.
2. Hand write all your envelopes and every thank you card including the envelopes. After all it might be the only time in your life you do this…. And labels are not personal.
3. Learn the phrase, “I don’t know… call the wedding planner.”

A Simple, Relaxed & Organic Wedding at Deer Valley Resort
From the bride, Ingrid: We always dreamed of a wedding in the outdoors in a majestic setting. We wanted the overall look to be simple, modern, organic, elegant and relaxed. We wanted our wedding colors to match the surroundings, the aspens leaves were the inspiration for the green, the mountain lodge for the brown and my dress for the ivory.
Deer Valley means a lot to us since my husband worked there as a ski instructor and I learned how to ski on the slopes of Deer Valley. We chose the Silver Lake Lodge the first day we went looking for venues. We fell in love with the lodge and the surroundings!
We did photos before the ceremony and it was one of the best decisions we made since we didn’t miss a minute of the reception and we got one of my favorite pictures at the top of the mountain in the chairlift.
My favorite moment of the day was walking down the aisle after we got married, it was magical!
We danced a choreographed Tango as our first dance.
My advice: Invest in a good dance floor! Don’t buy expensive shoes, they ‘ll get ruined. Plan the photos you want to take before hand. Stick to the timelines and try to get a good rest the night before.
