A Breathtaking Engagement Session on Mount Evans
From the photographer, Jennie Crate: We started the evening at Echo Lake to take some time wandering among the evergreen trees, taking advantage of the filtered sun. Then, we headed up the road to the Mount Evans summit, jumping out of the car anytime the light and the scenery inspired us. The rocky landscape of Colorado has a very barren, awe-inspiring power and its similarities to the New Zealand landscape featured in the Lord of the Rings trilogy became our inspiration for this shoot. We finished the evening at one of the most magical landscapes featuring rocks, glacial lakes, mountain goats, and the perfect setting sun.
A Dreamy Mountain Engagement Shoot in Oklahoma
From the photographer, Ellen Ashton Photography: This gorgeous setting on top of Mount Scott created the perfect atmosphere for a sweet, precious and romantic engagement session. It’s so easy to see through the photographs that Callie and Justin are totally in love. This session reminds me of the song that says, “ain’t no mountain high, ain’t no valley, ain’t no river wide enough baby”.
An Engagement Shoot in the Canadian Rockies
Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains in Kananaskis Country, this Calgary firefighter and nurse spent the afternoon along the river as their photographer Loree Photography captured magic. We can’t wait to see their winter breakfast wedding in beautiful Canmore, Alberta next year.
Engagement Shoot: Adventure in the Mountains
From the ski slopes to the mud bogs, this free-spirited couple showcased what they love to do together… laugh a lot and have fun. The bride-to-be actually bought two identical dresses, one to wear for this shoot and another for the wedding day. Photographer Brian Smyer did a wonderful job of capturing their love of exhilarating adventures. All we can say, is every couple should be having this much FUN at their engagement shoot!
A Bohemian Engagement in Boulder
We LOVE, LOVE this week’s romantic engagement shoot filled with wildflowers, mountains, water and a fluffy puppy!
From the photographer, James Moro Photography:
I photographed Maura & Andrew’s engagement portraits on a day of wildly erratic weather in Colorado. We had planned to do their shoot at 3pm, yet it dumped rain all morning long. By some miracle, the skies cleared up exactly around 3pm, and we proceeded as planned. The clouds must’ve parted for this couple, as everywhere around us by a 40 mile radius, was under a severe tornado watch. I actually came home after the shoot to discover that no less than 8 tornadoes had touched down in the surrounding plains. These two have a magic about them, and there’s a definite softness in the way he touches her that just lights her up inside and out–totally a photographer’s dream come true.
Engagement Shoot: Love at Lake Louise
From the photographer, Kim Payant:
Tara and Cody were such a cute couple! I loved that she had cowboy boots and he had a nice plaid shirt! They brought the “country look” to the mountains and I think it looked great! They come for Nothern Alberta, but got engaged at beautiful Lake Louise and they wanted their photo session taken there! Although it was fall, it felt like a summer day. The leaves had started to turn yellow which created an amazing contrast with the turquoise of the lake!
Engagement Shoot: Romance in the Rockies
Megan Wynn Photography beautifully captured the love & romance and the fun & laughter this couple so obviously shares. Add in a gorgeous Rocky Mountain backdrop against an alpine lake at Piney River Ranch and we can’t stop gushing over this stunning love shoot.
Engagement Shoot: Acrobatic Art
From the photographer, G. Chapin Studios
Ben and Jasper are absolutely amazing. The day began like many Colorado days…what we call a “blue bird” day. The sky was clear with the most crystalline blue your mind can imagine. As we drove to the location, the clouds rolled in, which made for the most divine light and dreamy scenery. Ben and Jasper perform partner acrobatics, an acrobatic art that involves the intimate interaction and balancing of bodies to achieve artful postures and sequences. They braved the cold to display their talents.
