A Tuscan Romance Inspired Shoot

From Lindsey Dienstbach, Bello & Blue Events: Inspired by the always alluring Italian movie star, Sophia Loren, for this wedding inspiration shoot we set out to create a timeless, romantic and glamorous European affair. Highlighted with a few fabulous details, we curated a luxurious vibe, rich in color, to highlight the fall season, and feel like this celebration was straight from a castle in Tuscany.  The beautiful Italian architecture and majestic setting of the Retreat at Solterra transported us from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the heart of Italy.

A Tuscan Romance Inspired Shoot

We designed with a color palette of rich colors found in Italy’s wine region landscape. Deep reds, purples, greens, gold, and a pop of Tiffany blue that we found in an antique china pattern perfectly complemented the setting and the autumn season. A Tuscan Romance Inspired Shoot

To help capture the essence of Italian glamour, our couple was styled to the nines. With the groom in the most dapper steel gray tux, the bride donned diamonds, fur, Louboutins, and a Kelly Faetanini bridal gown before changing into a poppy red Monique Lhuillier party dress, perfect for dancing the night away! Our bride and groom arrived to their swanky soiree chauffeured in a restored vintage London Cab, and after dining al fresco, bid “Arriverdverci!” to guests, as they zoomed off on a cherry red vespa to Happily Ever After! The wood feasting table-top featured custom designed menus and place cards, as well as cut crystal glassware, gold flatware, and the most beautiful mismatched teacups and china to add interest and detail making each place setting unique.

The elegance continued into soft seating vignettes accented by gold and crystal candelabras and to-die-for lush florals that included organic Tuscan inspired elements like real grapes, artichokes, and pears, in addition to an olive branch garland accented with deep-toned garden roses, anemones, and dahlias. Mountain Wedding Elegance in Tennessee

Samantha and Jack tied the knot over the Fourth of July weekend in the Smoky Mountains. Samantha loves everything that glitters and shines, so she added a beautiful rhinestone belt and bracelet along with a cathedral veil to her stunning gown. The ceremony was filled with hundreds of stunning florals. Their puppy, Lilly, wore a blush pink floral collar and a cute sign that read,  “Daddy, here comes mommy”.  The reception tent was overflowing with lush florals.

From the Magazine: Marsala Mountain Elegance

Pulled from the print edition of Luxe Mountain Weddings, this editorial shoot was inspired by marsala, the 2015 Pantone color of the year. The talented team of Rachel Havel,  Pink Paisley Events & Lale Florals pulled inspiration from the deep shades in pomegranates, blackberries, and burgundy to contrast against the powder snow in the Rocky Mountains. For the tablescapes, the team incorporated seasonal fruits, berries and walnuts. The florals included hot pinks, burgundy, currant reds and soft subtle blues to bring out the marsala hue. Lots of pretty to inspire the mountain bride.

A Colorado Mountaintop Wedding at Granby Ranch

From the photographer, Emily RC Photography:
This wedding was absolutely spectacular. Besides being absolutely smitten with one another and their sweet son, Koen, Jess and Justin had a definite plan – a beautiful mountaintop plan. Jess was both masterfully organized and brimming with creative ideas. Justin was laid back and ready to celebrate their love and little family. The wedding day turned out to be just as bright and beautiful as they had hoped after some morning showers – not atypical weather in the Rockies, but nerve-racking still. Granby Ranch was the perfect venue. Guests rode up chair lifts at the resort and arrived at the ceremony site, a breathtaking vista with a wide view of the mountains. The hot sunshine was so bright that the sky was almost teal. The small breeze kept the aspens rustling throughout the afternoon. The reception held oodles of do-it-yourself decorations, scores of laughing friends, a live band and glitter galore. There was hardly a moment where the dance floor wasn’t full. It was truly a photographers dream, but, more than that, it was their dream, a vivid and joyful party to mark the start of their new phase of life. Held in a place – the mountains – that is dear to their hearts and with the people that matter the most.

From the bride:
I have a history working in the wedding industry, so my ideas were all planned out well in advance. I was definitely a Pinterest bride! I knew exactly what I wanted and did my best to have everything done in advance to make sure the final weeks before the wedding weren’t stressful. My favorite – and least favorite – DIY project was our table numbers! My father-in-law is very skilled with woodworking and was gracious enough to create each of the 13 numbers. My job was glittering them. It took FOREVER and glitter was EVERYWHERE, but the end result was so worth it!
