After viewing this stunning love shoot from the always amazing Jason + Gina Wedding Photographers, we’ve decided we want a pair of cuddly white puppies!
From the photographers, Jason + Gina Wedding Photographers:
Lauren & Santino’s laid back nature and go-with-the-flow attitude made this shoot as simple as an afternoon walking around Vail with friends (and their cute fluffy dogs).
Wine Country Elegance in Vail
Carina & James | August 24th | Vail, Colorado
From the bride: After I visited Vail with James, I fell in love with the town. I could not imagine having my wedding in a more beautiful location. A mountain destination wedding is so intimate and the views from the top of Vail Mountain are stunning.
THE DECOR
I had no idea what to expect with the décor. When I walked into the room I started crying. It was everything I could ever imagine and more. Quite frankly, I knew the room was decorated amazing, but did not appreciate its beauty until I saw Jason and Gina’s photographs of the room.
James and I really enjoy wine so we loved all of the wine-inspired touches.

Casual Mountain Chic Wedding
Kathryn & Jeremy | June 30th | Meredith, Colorado
From the bride… Our dream wedding was a relaxed weekend, in a stunning location, which truly reflected us both individually and as a couple. We felt that it represented us better than your traditional wedding venue would. And, what decor could possibly beat out a dramatic mountainscape in the background!? You get the majestic scenery for free!
Since we had guests traveling from all over, we wanted to show our appreciation for their devotion and how far they traveled to share our day with us. Jeremy and I cut and painted old barnwood with most of the cities represented and their distance from the wedding location. A few days before the wedding, we couldn’t find a post to nail them to, so Dad and Jeremy concocted a tri-pod made out of aspen tree trunks. It ended up being so cute and unique! People loved it and had fun posing in front of their city.
Our favorite 10 year old Mountain Poodle (really just a standard poodle, but we feel there should be a new breed), Macy, was in our wedding. I didn’t actually see this the day of but did see it when watching the wedding video…we got a kick out of Macy saying hi to each of the bridesmaids before she took her rightful seat with our dog-handler on the front row. Such a cute moment and so Macy! Loved it!
Every summer since I can remember, my mom spends hours at the cabin canning homemade jelly, made with fruit from the valley. For our wedding, she made 140 jars of raspberry jelly and peach jelly, from fruit grown locally, which we gave out as gifts to our guests.
The Groom’s cake is a Southern tradition – one of which my husband was clueless about and therefore provided a great opportunity for me to surprise him! I had his favorite cake, German chocolate, made into the shape of a giant Rainbow Trout, with a banner that said “This one’s a keeper!” The pastry chef did an amazing job – it is one of Jeremy’s favorite things about our wedding to this day.
Our table numbers were random significant numbers to us in no chronological order, with their significance to our relationship described underneath. For example:
Table 6,222 – Number of miles that Jeremy drove between Indianapolis and Chicago to see me.
Table 79 – Number of American Idol episodes I “forced” Jeremy to watch.
Guests loved walking around to the other tables to read all of them – it was a great conversation starter.
The night before the wedding we had a huge Pig Roast for all of the guests. Jeremy is a horticulturalist at a large conifer nursery. He shipped 40 miniature conifers from Portland, OR to Colorado to serve as the centerpieces. We then gave one to each couple to take home with them and plant in memory of the weekend. It’s been touching to see these little trees planted in the yards of our friends and family when we visit!
My advice: Don’t stress about the little things!!! Something will not go 100% according to plan – expect this to happen so you won’t be disappointed. This is the one day in your life that you will be surrounded those you love most under one roof – relax and enjoy the time you have with them instead of fretting about the centerpiece color being slightly off!
I STRONGLY recommend postponing your honeymoon. Especially if you are having a destination wedding. We decided to leave for our honeymoon several months after the wedding because A) it was important to us to spend time after the wedding with family and friends who had travelled long distances and we rarely get to see, and B) we didn’t have time to solidify our honeymoon plans with all of the wedding-planning frenzy. As a result, we were able to hang out with family and friends for several days after the wedding and after the stress had lifted. Also, we could spend the time in the following months planning a PERFECT honeymoon to Kauai and Maui, which gave us something to look forward to!

Cozy & Intimate in Breck
Sunny & Franco | February 25th | Breckenridge, Colorado
We love starting the week off with stunning wedding images from one of our favorite photographers, Jason+Gina Wedding Photographers . These images perfectly capture the emotion, details and romance of the day that Jason+Gina are famous for!
From the photographers,
Eighteen physicians and artists from Phoenix and LA gathered for a week retreat in Breckenridge, Colorado that culminated with the marriage of Sunny and Franco. This intimate DIY wedding was created entirely through the work of their friends.
Sunny’s gorgeous Vera Wang dress hung beautifully from the hand crafted chandelier as the snow fell outdoors.
Surrounded by Nature
Kiley & Andy | August 5th | Breckenridge, Colorado
At 10,010 feet, surrounded by the grandeur of the Ten Mile Range, Kiley & Andy recited their vows in an intimate ceremony on the deck of Sevens at Peak 7. The beautiful backdrop and emotional moments were all lovingly captured by Jason + Gina Wedding Photographers.
From the bride:
Breckenridge is amazing. The town itself has a way of making you feel like you’re in another world and letting you escape. Its so beautiful in both summer and winter and we both knew our families would have lots of activities to choose from. We like Breckenridge because it has an upscale feel but is still very relaxed and casual. We knew this had to be the spot we tied the knot!
We decided to make this a weeklong vacation for both our families. We rented a 6 bedroom majestic mansion on the mountain and stuck both our families in the house for the week! The big surprise was that everyone got along amazingly and really enjoyed the company. Everyone got to know each other a little bit more and by the end of the week we were one big happy family!
Our first look was probably the most memorable moment. Leading up to this moment we’d been surrounded by family and little kids and lots of activity. For the whole previous week we didn’t have any alone time. Our amazing photographers helped us find a cool, shady spot in the tall pines just off the slopes that was perfect. I snuck up on Andy over logs and brush and jumped on him! When he turned around and kissed me I was immediately overwhelmed with happiness and started crying. Although Jason and Gina were there taking shots we really felt totally alone and it was such a wonderful moment, our first one together, just us in quite a while.
The day of our wedding it was a perfect summer day in the Rockies; the sun was shining and it was mid 70’s with just a slight breeze. The deck had the most beautiful view overlooking the town of Breckenridge with snow capped peaks in the distance and plenty of space to view the deep Colorado blue skies. Being that the majority of our guests were from the East Coast this was quite a site for them to see. It could not have been more spectacular.
The ceremony so much more than I expected. I found it interesting how I was surrounded by the most important people in my life and they all seem to disappear when I saw Andy waiting for me at the end of the isle. Marrying him in that setting was truly the most memorable experience of my life. I thought I had all my tears out during our first look but when we exchanged rings I couldn’t help it. I was so overcome with joy and thankfulness that God brought me to this moment with Andy. I felt and still feel unbelievably blessed.
Our first dance was to One Republic’s “Good Life” and again, the rest of the world disappeared to me as we danced around the room. I hadn’t ever seen such a huge and lasting smile on my husband’s face and it was wonderful. From that point on I didn’t stop dancing all night.
