A Glacier National Park Engagement Session
From Brittany: Travis and I met, of all places, in a bar. We are both quite tall and we just locked eyes across the room over everyone else’s heads, and we have been inseparable ever since. We live in Minnesota with our dog Euchre. I had seen so many beautiful pictures of Glacier National Park and had always wanted to go. When we got engaged, I was determined to have our engagement pictures taken at Glacier. Marianne Wiest Photography gave us exactly what we asked for and then some. The photoshoot was relaxed, fun and full of breathtaking mountain scenery. Our pictures came out amazing and we had such a fun vacation in Montana.
A Rustic Destination Wedding in Tennessee
There are three things Michael and Carrie love more than anything in the world: nature and its animals, craft beer, and each other. So, it only made sense that their wedding should reflect these priorities in earnest, a goal which they achieved seamlessly on a warm summer day in the Tennessee mountains.

Love at 11,444 feet
From the bride, Kaley: Zach is originally from the East Coast and I am from the Midwest. We met in Colorado four years ago. Not only did we fall for one another, but we also fell in love with Colorado. Thus, it was important for us to have the wedding in Colorado. We wanted to share the place that we hold so dearly to our hearts with the most loved people in our lives, our guests. We chose to host a fall wedding, which is our favorite time of the year. The wedding date fell on the peak weekend of Colorado’s signature gold Aspen Tree foliage.
We had a neutral color scheme with accents of green and yellow to incorporate the earth tones of the mountain and Aspen trees.
Before the ceremony, we had our first look and read our hand written vows to one another. This allowed for intimate moments that were sacred to us. In addition, we spent time taking pictures with just the two of us before the wedding party met us. The time together eased our nerves and alleviated pressure before the ceremony as we had time to be together to show our love and appreciation for one another and reflect on the meaning of the day.
My cousins wrote and co-officiated the ceremony, which made it tremendously personal and meaningful for Zach and me. Our wedding readings were from our favorite book, The Alchemist.
The flower girls carried small boxwood wreaths.
An extra special moment was when our dear friend surprised us with the most unique 36” diameter Pin Oak wood slab monogrammed with our wedding logo. We used this as a focal creation for the décor of our reception.
Instead of doing the routine order of events, we decided to mix up the order of our reception. As soon as we were announced to the guests, we went to the middle of the dance floor and cut the cake and had our first dance. After the first chorus of our first dance, we invited all guests to the dance with us. It was a huge surrounding of love. After the first dance, we jumped right into the dancing for a few songs to start the night off on the right foot. The guests seemed to really like the mix-up events.
My advice: Every wedding is beautiful and there is no wrong or right way to do it. Be true to yourselves as a couple, be mindful of the meaning of the day instead of getting lost in the details, and absorb all the love.

A Mountain Destination Wedding in Colorado
From the bride, Sani: Having grown up in California, all our family and most of our friends were traveling out of state to celebrate. That was something really special for us. We have been in Colorado for about 5 years and when we were invited to a wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch three years ago we instantly fell in love with the venue and knew it was where we would say our I do’s. Over the last several years, we’ve stayed at the Ranch on and off, taken our family and friends, and got to know the area very well. On the actual day of the event, because we had been there for several days, we were both pretty relaxed. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen were carefully chosen and represented different snippets of our lives. Our families were also integral to how happy we both were. Everyone’s love and encouragement not only that weekend, but through our entire relationship, has been so overwhelming, so we were very fortunate to have all of our close friends and family celebrating with us. We really want to take this opportunity to thank everyone again for traveling such long distances to be with us and help us start our journey as a married, happy couple. Every single person there, including all the incredible vendors, made this the best party we’ve ever been to. This REALLY was the best day of our lives.

A Destination Wedding in the Canadian Rockies
From the bride, Wynn: When I was 5 years old I “read” my first Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine on a flight and began “sketching” wedding gowns on a Northwest Airlines napkin – believe it or not, my parents still have some of the napkins. So, while our wedding story began like many, dreaming as a young girl, it is unique in that after being in the industry for a few years, it (my vision) took a 180 degree turn! Rather than Cinderella’s ball, we escaped to the Rocky Mountains. It rained, it snowed, the sun beamed down for our ceremony, we ran into hiccups – as you do in any wedding – and we laughed through them. We danced, we cried, we toasted, we spent hours with the ones we love, and we couldn’t have been more thankful.

A Winter Wedding in the Rocky Mountains
On a beautiful Colorado blue sky day, these high school sweet hearts said “I do” at one of our favorite mountain venues, Devil’s Thumb Ranch. A nature-inspired color palette of greens and creams with pops of navy blue perfectly complemented the snow covered landscape. An intimate ceremony overlooking the Continental Divide followed by a cozy reception inside the beautiful Board Axe Barn was perfectly captured by Brinton Studios.

An Elegant Rocky Mountain Wedding
From the bride, Stephanie: We chose Cordillera because we wanted an outdoor ceremony on a mountaintop with breathtaking views, beautiful weather and pleasant temperatures. I love jewel tones and peacocks so that became our theme.
My favorite ceremony memory was walking down the aisle to find all of my loved ones and closest friends.
We had ivory chiffon draping and lighting in sapphire blue hues. The table linens were sapphire with diamond table runners.
Tall clear vases filled with white hydrangeas, roses, orchids, hanging crystals and peacock feathers adorned the tables.
Our cake table display was stunning!
