Styled Shoot: Calm Before the Day
From the stylist: Christina Stevens, CS Bridal Styling:
The inspiration behind this shoot was to take you through the intimate peaceful moments a bride has before the pandemonium that hits once she embarks on the grand march to her soon to be. We wanted to showcase our bride, Kadie as she patiently awaits the arrival of her groom. She has chosen to opt for a quiet elopement style destination wedding. Not wanting to skip the traditional fare that one looks forward to while planning a wedding, they decided on a pristine mountain location. They dreamed of an intimate celebration at a luxury hotel/venue for their weekend escape; with careful consideration and selection of their vendors to give them everything they had dreamed of.

A Sacred Love Styled Shoot
From the photographer: This collaborative styled shoot started around the concept of an upscale Cinco de Mayo/Latin flavored reception in the mountains. What it evolved into was really an intimate, spiritual shoot centered on the theme of community. We are a community of vendors working as a team to produce unique events. We pictured a wedding where every attendee was part of the couple’s tribe; their community of supporters. When a wedding involves community it is ultimately a more meaningful event. We used warm colors, a full reception table display and lots of warm candlelight for details that speak to that community idea. We even had some of the vendors join in the shoot as guests to showcase the close knit community theme. We kept the latin flavor with spiritual elements, the dress and veil style, the tile signage and churros for dessert.

From the Magazine: Marsala Mountain Elegance
Pulled from the print edition of Luxe Mountain Weddings, this editorial shoot was inspired by marsala, the 2015 Pantone color of the year. The talented team of Rachel Havel, Pink Paisley Events & Lale Florals pulled inspiration from the deep shades in pomegranates, blackberries, and burgundy to contrast against the powder snow in the Rocky Mountains. For the tablescapes, the team incorporated seasonal fruits, berries and walnuts. The florals included hot pinks, burgundy, currant reds and soft subtle blues to bring out the marsala hue. Lots of pretty to inspire the mountain bride.

Bohemian Wedding Inspiration in the Land of Enchantment
Set amongst the trees in a wildflower field at the foot of the mountains, Maura Jane Photography and Events by Emily Kay came together to create a breathtaking bohemian inspired photo shoot. Their inspiration came from the earthiness of the location and the desire to showcase bright colors.
Vibrant greens, yellows and shades of cranberry created the perfect color palette for this lighthearted romance.
Passion Floral Design Studio matched the decor perfectly bringing in unique blooms and sunflowers that complimented the wildflowers that scattered the forest floor.
Just through the edge of the woods was a large field on a cliff overlooking the New Mexico sky. New Mexico, also known as the Land of Enchantment, created a picturesque backdrop with rain falling off in the distance.

Styled Shoot: Woodsy Vintage
From the photographer, Amanda Lloyd Photography:
I’m over the moon about the details in this styled shoot! Washington has its own element of outdoor romance and is the perfect place for an outdoor styled shoot! Dyan and Daniel were celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary and were so excited to do this shoot! Vintage was the theme and local antique shops proved to be exactly what I was looking for! We went for a neutral color palette: tans, browns, grays and colors with a hint of teal and yellow. Let me say that the weather for our shoot was total CHAOS! It was sunshine, then pouring rain! Then, we decided to head up to Summit at Steven’s Pass for insanely gorgeous snowfall! It was DOWNPOUR snow! Dyan and Daniel were complete troopers and totally rocked the shoot! The weather was typical of Washington, and I loved every bit of it!
Zong Her of Her Couture designed the gorgeous veil and all the amazing flowers.
Dianne’s Delights in Seattle provided the seriously adorable cream colored ruffed cake, complete with a burlap banner style cake topper.
I collected all the fun vintage pieces from the Old Main Street Spanaway Antique Mall and all the unique wood pieces, including the chevron cake plate were make by a local wood shop, From the Wood Shed.
