A Destination Wedding in Telluride, Colorado
From the bride, Taylor: I chose Telluride because I had heard from several people that it was the most beautiful place they had ever seen. I grew up vacationing in Boulder, Breckenridge, Denver and knew I loved the idea of being married in Colorado; however, I wanted my wedding memories to be associated with a place that I only tied to my wedding. I did some research and talked to people who had been to Telluride and decided it was the perfect place for us. I wanted a relaxed wedding atmosphere in a quaint town with amazing views – Telluride was an obvious choice.
I wore a Monique Lhullier dress with cowboy boots.
What made our day so special was how small and impromtu the whole affair was. We only had immediate family (12 people).
It rained pretty heavy during the ceremony creating a romantic mood inside the intimate church.
After the vows, we all had a casual and light-hearted dinner in town.
My advice: Keep it as simple as possible. Make the day about you and your future spouse. Prioritize those closest to you. Have great food. Expect for some chaos-it’s inevitable.
