A Celestial Inspired Mountain Wedding in Vail
From the Magazine: Chelsea & Wyn
It was written in the stars. This pretty mountain wedding combines Chelsea’s background in astrophysics and all things stars with Wyn’s love for distilling. Details included a constellation themed seating chart and table numbers, custom star chart chargers, and a telescope hour after dinner to view Saturn.

A Mountain Romance in Vail
Lauren & Benjamin | September 15th | Vail, Colorado
From the bride:
We love the mountains and the outdoors. We have both spent lots of time in Summit and Eagle Counties skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking and cycling. Ben proposed to me in Frisco, Colorado so we knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony in the mountains with a beautiful view.

It rained the day of our wedding, which I hear is good luck and honestly I wasn’t upset about it. Cloudy days make for great photographs!
My favorite detail was my dress! I think I almost tried on every dress in Denver looking for that magical moment when you know “this is the one!” Just as I started to lose hope I found it. When I put it and looked in the mirror it brought tears to my eyes and I knew it was perfect! Once I found it, it was probably the easiest decision of the whole wedding!
I wanted our wedding to feel personal and reflect us as a couple. I wanted it to be artistic and creative.
My degree is in fine arts concentrating in Graphic Design. It’s both a gift and a handicap… I end up taking a lot on myself. I designed the save the dates, wedding invitations, made hairpieces and earrings for the bridesmaids.
Our ceremony was amazing. It was freezing, but it was beautiful. I’ve been to so many weddings that they all start to seem repetitive and we did everything we could to make ours uniquely about us.
My brother-in-law recently graduated seminary and preformed our ceremony. His knowledge of us and our relationship made it so special. I loved every moment of it. We did not write our own vows because neither of us felt we could eloquently express our feelings in front of a large group of people. So, instead we spent time reading through several sets of vows. We found some that really spoke to us, but saying them to each other on our wedding day was more powerful than I ever could have expected.
I later found out that all day long our 3-year-old niece, who was also one of our flower girls, was following us around pointing at us and saying “Happily Ever After!” That affirmed everything! I truly was a princess that day!
Our guest book was a pair of antique skis that we sanded and re-stained.
At the end of the evening we had a sparkler send off and a white limousine.
